Our very own CAT team members, Gary Behm and Spencer Montan, will be participating in the Telecommunications for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Inc (TDI) 24th Biennial Conference at the end of this month. The TDI conference will be held virtually allowing everyone to tune in. The theme for the conference this year will be “Reset and Reconnect.” The conference will have different topics about the changes that have taken place and how it has created new ways of embracing the next generation of mobile phone technology, automated captioning, tele-platform accesses, diversity and inclusion within communication, and broadband access.
Gary, the director of Center on Access Technology and Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs at NTID, will be one of the keynote speakers! In his keynote presentation, Gary will talk about the possibilities of future mobile phone technology and elaborate more about the IRIS project. You can watch the keynote on July 28th from 3:30pm-4:00pm to find out what he has to say!
Spencer, our project manager at Center on Access Technology, will be part of the “Next Generation Relay” panel with three other special guests to discuss the future of relay service with focus on VRS. If you are interested in watching the panel, you can do so on July 27th from 1:30pm-2:30pm.
